This computer program serves writers in repetitive tasks: input of long words or standard phrases, and in recovering lost pieces of text. It is of special value for input of formal language text, and in technical and commercial writing. Think of an assistant of the writer, sitting beside him and observing the sequence of his keystrokes. Then, after getting some experience, the assistant will predict and suggest reasonable continuations of the user's text input according to former occurrences of the context. Whenever the user accepts one of the suggestions, the assistant will input it, in place of the user. The user selects, shortens, or accepts a suggestion by simple keystrokes. In contrast to known auto text or text completion tools, this program does neither need explicit decisions and input of text in advance for future utilization by the user, nor does it depend on word or field content boundaries. With these, the project is more like a book or manuscript held in the hand than a number of files scattered in the dark of electronic space. Book Writer provides visual interfaces to manipulate a project's files by dragging or clicking book and chapter icons. Book Writer can copy, move, and zip all or selected files in the project all at once. Book Writer can search all files in a project, replace text in all project files, index the project for instant text retrieval, and move from file to file to show the findings. Advanced search features include four ways to search files: plain-text search, regular expressions, approximate, and sound-alike. Find words even if they are misspelled. Instantly find all the lines in your project where you mentioned a particular name, or any word, and move from file to file, line to line by clicking on search results. Book Writer can organize and search the support files for a project, such as research documents or previous works. Just add such files to the project during development, remove later. After indexing, search all your support files instantly. You can use Book Writer's editor and other features without using the Project Manager and Commander. Book Writer omits word processing features for business that are unnecessary for creative writing, such as mail merge and team development. Zoot is an Information Processor used by professional writers, researchers, journalists, and other computer users who need to process large quantities of information. Zoot offers a highly efficient process for collecting, reviewing and labeling raw information so that it can be classified, prioritized and viewed in meaningful timeframes and contexts.
With Zoot you can send information from any Windows application directly to a Zoot database; no need to copy and paste information back and forth. If you're working with a web browser, Zoot even captures the URL so you can return to the site at a later date.
When you send information to a Zoot database it can be manipulated in a variety of ways. You can assign multiple folders or have Zoot assign folders automatically based on rules. You can add reference notes (annotation). You can assign a due date and set reminders. You can prioritize, color code, categorize and enhance with a host of built in database fields. You can create your own custom database fields.
Zoot also offers a faster, more flexible way to manage Microsoft Outlook data.
