5th ball starts new series of logic games from Frostworks. The goal of the "5th ball" game is to create maximum amount of lines joining five balls. To create a line all you need is to put a ball on the gametable and connect it with another four balls (which already exist) directing towards the end of new line. All available directions (horizontal, vertical and two diagonals) can be used once per each ball. That means that a maximum of four lines can go through each ball. The game is over when no new balls can be added. So the rules are quite simple, but the game is not as easy as it looks and should keep you occupied for hours. Just try!
The game offers five gametables: C R O S S, Wind & Rain, Morning Dew, Constellation and Sage?s Dream. Each of the gametables has its own unique structure made up on basis of logical combinations.

What is HSSVSS
HSSVSS turns your web cam or cameras into a video and motion detecting surveillance system.
HSSVSS is a handy video surveillance tool, weather to monitor the old fashioned way by watching the videos live, by recording videos, or by using the handy hot spot feature which detects motion. HSSVSS is ideal for any video surveillance task.
It places two video images on the screen simultaneously allowing monitoring of two areas. If you have more than two areas you can cycle your cameras.
JPEG Intruder Images
HSSVSS monitors movement in the defined target zone and takes a picture of anything that moves in this zone. You can save the surveillance as AVI video but pictures of any suspicious activity are saved as JPEG images to reduce storage overheads.
With HSSVSS you define a target area for each camera. If for any reason the target area changes, e.g. a person enters the area, then an image is taken and saved for latter observation. This means that you don't have to monitor the video by watching the screen all the time.
HSSVSS is designed for use with USB cameras. Although you can only monitor two cameras at once you can actually have as many cameras as your hardware will support and switch between these.
Useful and relatively cheap hardware additions such as a USB hub and USB Active extension cable will extend the physical distance between your camera's and computer.
HSSVSS Works Indoors and Outdoors
Since HSSVSS detects changes in a particular area of the surveillance it is perfect for monitoring out doors when security lights are automatically triggered. HSSVSS is automatically triggered when the security light is turned on.
Movement in trees due to wind also doesn't confuse it. This is because you target your hot spots away from natural movement. E.g. a path or drive is perfect,
HSSVSS works even better indoors, any movement in the target zone or switching on a light will activate the system.

Minefield is a game in which you have to bring as many men as you can across the minefield to safety (marked by a blue flag). You start at the bottom right square of a grid of up to 20 x 15 squares and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move your man towards the flag. You die if he steps on a mine (duh!). The minefield is randomly generated when you start a game, but the mines stay where they are throughout the game so you have to try to remember where they are.
In addition to the mines, you also have to avoid up to 2 snakes and 2 ghosts. Snakes can only move on squares which do not contain mines, whereas ghosts can move anywhere in the grid.
You may, on occasion, pick up a map or invincibility potion. The map shows you the location of every mine in the grid, whereas the potion makes you invincible (ie. cannot be killed by mine, snake nor ghost), for a period of time.
You may sometimes also be blown to another square by a strong gust of wind (this can only happen if you step on a square that does not contain a mine).
Minefield has plenty of customizable settings. It is also skinable - you can replace all the graphics with your own.

Die Wege zu den Eimern sind jedoch nicht geradewegs nach unten ausgerichtet. Die Kugeln müssen um die Mauern herumgelenkt werden. Dazu taumeln die Kugeln im Wind etwas hin und her. Zahlreiche Feinde und Naturgewalten versuchen den Kugeln das Leben schwer zu machen. Man sollte unbedingt darauf achten, dass die Kugeln im freien Fall auf keinen Fall eine Mauer berühren, da sie sonst sofort zerplatzen. SO FUNKTIONIERT DAS SPIEL: Der Spieler kann mit Hilfe von zahlreichen Steuerhilfen den Weg jeder einzelnen Kugel bestimmen. Die roten Kugeln müssen im roten Eimer landen, die grünen im grünen Eimer und die blauen im blauen Eimer. Eine bestimmte Mindestzahl jeder Farbe muss gerettet werden, um ins nächste Level zu gelangen. Als Steuerhilfen gibt es Laufbänder, aufsteigende Förderbänder und Rutschen. Diese Hilfen können mit der Maus frei bewegt und zusammengesetzt werden, damit die Kugeln den richtigen Weg finden.
