Let us have a look at such a common OS control element as Taskbar. The idea of switching between various tasks using a square bar with buttons on it is rather straightforward. All works fine when there are three to five open windows.
However, most of us have faced a situation when we need to keep dozens of windows open - interrelated documents, calculator, e-mail client, several web browser windows - all mess up the Taskbar space resulting in poor computing experience and growing frustration. We start clicking small non-informative buttons in vain attempt to find the desired window, but it takes much time. SNetSim is a event-driven simulation software running on Windows based operating systems. It's being developed in Naval Science and Engineering Institute (Istanbul , Turkey)
It's free for your academical works. If you use it for your documented studies, please remember to reference to our web site.
We do not provide the source code for the time being. Because, we are planning to complete coding some basic functions and recover from the bugs after receiving reports from users. But, our goal is to make the source available, after the software is coded clearly and well-documented to be used by any researcher who wants to customize it for his needs.
