Inbox filters do not work to stop Spammers. Email costs virtually nothing to send and a cleverly worded email can easily bypass even the best filtering scheme. If filtering is all we have for a defense against Spam, we are in a losing battle.

Many spam messages attempt to hide their tracks by forging entries into the header. SPAMReporter checks each line to determine its authenticity and signaling out the actual entry point onto the Internet.
