Bench'emAll!

BenchemAll! is a tool to automate 3D performance benchmarking using most popular 3D games and 3D synthetic benchmarks. Usually you need to launch each benchmark manually and separately one by one and wait for results. This is an interesting work at the beginning, but can you say the same later? With Bench'emAll! all the benchmarking process will be changed at all. You just need to configure benchmark settings and select resolutions you want. Bench'emAll! will do the rest: start benchmark, wait for results, and parse all logs to find result fps. With Bench'emAll! any benchmarking process will be very simple, you don't have to remember all the steps and commands to lauch each 3D benchmark. Moreover, sequence editor will help you to manage your own benchmark sequences.

Framsticks Theater

The Framsticks Theater is an easy-to-use application which illustrates some basic phenomena, like genes and genetics, mutation, evolution, user-driven evolution and artificial selection, walking and swimming, artificial life simulation, virtual world interactions, etc. It includes a number of "shows", and new shows can be added by advanced users or developers. It can be run on standalone workstations as a show (artistic installations, shops, fairs), as well as for education (e.g. biology, evolution, optimization, simulation, robotics), illustration, attractive graphical background for music, advertisement, entertainment, screen-saving mode, etc.

Awesome Cities from Space Screen Saver

A photo slideshow screen saver with beautiful NASA/JPL radar images of cities and places around the world. The false-color palettes used in these images make them beautiful to look at as well as interesting to study. All photos are 800x600 high-quality images(a 1024x768 version is also available, see our web site). Cities included in this Lite version are: - New Orleans - New York - Hong Kong - Cape Cod - The Great Wall of China Spaceborne Imaging Radar-C/X-Band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SIR-C/X-SAR) is a joint U.S.-German-Italian project that uses a highly sophisticated imaging radar to capture images of Earth that are useful to scientists across a great range of disciplines. The instrument was flown on two flights in 1994. One was on space shuttle Endeavour on mission STS-59 April 9-20, 1994. The second flight was on shuttle Endeavour on STS-68 September 30-October 11, 1994. Other screen saver features include transition effects, black and white mode, password use, and extract photos as wallpaper, including built-in wallpaper cycling every hour or every day. This 5-photo Lite version is free, the Gold Edition has 42 photos and may be purchased at Awesome-Screens.com

Voxynth

Voxynth is a synthesizer (VSTi), which can be used to create vocal sounds or synthetic choirs. In addition, the MIDI synth has a stereo delay and comes with 256 factory patches and a manual (Adobe Acrobat). Voxynth has 3 oscillators per voice, pitch modulation, an amplitude envelope and a multimode formant filter, which can be modulated by an envelope or using Voxynths Performance Keys. The bundle inludes more than a dozen other plugins.

HyperTyle

HyperTyle is a sophisticated filter plugin for generating texture, surface, paint, erosion, transparency, edge, frame and shadow effects. These main effects are based on seamless textures, so there are unlimited variations possible. Additionally there are also zoom, rotation, metal, chrome, pop-art, warp, mirror, blur, noise, blending and other secondary effects which can be simultaneously applied to the seamless texture which is used for the main effect. So up to 20 different effects can be applied at the same time without leaving the plugin dialog. The download version of HyperTyle is delivered with 128 seamless photo, synthetic and painting textures. The CD version provides 1000+ seamless textures including 100 high resolution ones. You can also use other textures in BMP format in HyperTyle, e.g. self-created textures, textures downloaded from the web or textures from various image applications like Paint Shop Pro. The dialog of HyperTyle is skinned and consists of a large preview on the left side and a tab sheet control with all filter parameters on the right side. HyperTyle is fairly easy and intuitive to use. For beginners there's even a Tutorial Mode which displays explanations and tips when the mouse pointer moves over a control. A preset feature lets you save effect settings and reuse them later. 90 useful preset files are already delivered with HyperTyle.

The vOICe Learning Edition

The vOICe seeing-with-sound software translates images from a PC camera (webcam) into sounds that you hear via your stereo headphones, thus targetting vision substitution applications for the totally blind, and even synthetic vision. Some blind people wear it daily with a wearable setup to "see" their environment as they go around, while other blind people (blind from birth) use it to experience for the very first time what vision is like. The vOICe uses pitch for height and loudness for brightness in a left to right scan of any view. Apart from using a webcam or equivalent video capture device, images may also be imported from an image file (Control O) or acquired with a flatbed scanner (Control Q).

Voxengo Pristine Space VST

Pristine Space is a native PC VST plug-in which allows you to use convolution reverb impulses in your audio projects.

Pristine Space was mainly created for impulse reverb perfectionists: it does not implement various `combo' approaches which try to save CPU cycles by creating a synthetic reverb tail instead of performing a full convolution. Because such approaches in many cases give unsatisfactory results if you expect them to sound exactly like your original reverb impulse sounds, we have decided not to use them. Instead, we have optimized to the maximum both the efficiency of convolution processing and the plug-in's latency.

Pristine Space is a 8-channel convolution processor. Each channel is independent of the others, making it possible to use Pristine Space in various surround configurations. It also allows the user to apply a `true stereo' kind of processing, where each stereo channel uses its own reverb impulse (requiring 4 convolution channels in total). Sound designers and the like may find Pristine Space's serial convolution processing feature (which allows one to process the sound with several impulses in sequence) useful.

Among the other interesting features of Pristine Space is its seamless integration with Voxengo's Impulse Modeler. Impulse Modeler allows you to design your own spectacularly-sounding reverb impulses, and then use Pristine Space to instantly hear the adjustments you make to your design.

By the way, Pristine Space can work with a latency as low as 64 samples (1.5 ms at 44.1kHz), making it possible to use it during tracking.
