Aqualines is an action packed yet thoughtful computer game. The game field resembles an aquarium containing coral and sea creatures. The creatures move from the top of the aquarium to it's bottom along the coral stems. You can change the structure of coral to change the creatures' direction. Whenever 3 or more identical creatures settle in a row, this row disappears and increases your score. Your aim is to get the best score. To create a line, you should make paths for the creatures, by switching the coral stems. The coral is made up of swiveling sections. Every stem of coral has 2 positions, which you can switch between, with the mouse button. The game contains music, sound effects and photorealistic true color graphics.

The question editor prompts for a seven part paragraph: (1) a descriptive question stem, (2-3) acceptable labels or answers and (4-7) related labels and answers that are not acceptable or within desired limits. Only parts (1) and (2) are required. These seven parts are then recombined into dozens of different questions.
When writing, students need to determine what is like and unlike, what is within and outside of acceptable limits, what is related and what is not related to the question stem. This is applied critical reading and thinking. They practice inquiry learning and metacognitive skills. Large type makes the program usable for the visually handicapped and for group activities.
A fully developed question returns at five levels of thinking or questioning. The five levels of thinking are: (1) Student, responds to a question stem without seeing any answers. (2) Scholar, responds to a question stem that must be visualized. (3) Scientist, selects wrong answers until only one is left. (4) Pupil, selects the traditional right answer. (5) Tourist, gambles that random chance will select an acceptable answer.
