Compass has been a popular and powerful bookmark manager program since its first release in January, 1997. It supports three most popular browsers - Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Opera. Plus, it can launch any system specified generic browsers.
Not only is Compass a bookmark manager, but it is also an "outline editor" or a "note editor." You can use Compass to create your personal journal, notes, outlines, memos, ... etc.
You can also use Compass as a web page or report generator. With the power of Template, you can export your bookmarks or notes in the format you want. You can even control different folder levels and generate multiple files that linked back to the main output file.
Compass can easily handle more than several thousands of bookmarks. It works with Netscape 2.x - 4.x, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x - 5.x and Opera 3.x - 5.x on Windows 95/98/Me/NT4.0/2000.
Brief Features List:
1. Handles Netscape, IExplorer, and Opera file format. Uniform user interface for file open, save, import, export, and merge. All file I/O operations are applicable to all three file formats.
2. Unique Tree, List, and Description three-pane layout with two displaying styles - Explorer style and Compass style.
3. Export with Template lets you export bookmarks or folders to the format you want. You can edit or create your own Templates.
4. Powerful logical AND, OR, NOT search and intelligent find duplicate URLs.
5. Password protect your bookmark files.
6. Super fast multi-threading generic socket connection to check links, retrieve keywords, description and redirected URLs.
7. Powerful multi-selectable Tree pane.
8. Extensive drag & drop - to and from different panes, different instances, Compass and browsers, desktop, and Windows Explorer.
9. Communicates with Netscape, IExplorer, and Opera to launch links, add new links, open new browsers, replace URLs.
10. Tray icon access.
11. Versatile sorting options.
12. Dynamic Bookmarks menu.

Proxy Workbench is a unique proxy server ideal for developers, trainers and security experts that displays its data in real-time. You can actually see the data flowing between your e-mail client and the e-mail server, web browser and web server or even analyse FTP in both Passive and Active modes. In addition, the 'pass through' protocol handler enables analysis of protocols where the server does not readily change.
The best feature is the animated connection diagram that graphically represents the history of each socket connection and allows you to drill into the finest of detail. This animation can even be exported to HTML and saved to the web!
Major Features
- See data flow between socket connections
- Animated socket connection diagram
- 'Pass Through' protocol handler for debugging protocols
- Connection failure simulation strategies allow you to simulate:
a) Slow or asymmetric Internet connections (bandwidth throttling)
b) Servers that are underpowered, overloaded or under attack (connection refusal)
c) Intermittent connections (connection termination)
d) Disconnected network cables (connection dangling)
e) Data floods and droughts
- Natively handles HTTPS (secure sockets) and POP3
- Real time logging of data. All events are logged to a CSV format ready for advanced analysis with a database or spreadsheet.
- Animated system tray icon unobtrusively indicates data flow direction

Socket Workbench is the definitive tool for analysing socket communications that underlie the Internet and several types of inter-process communication. Configure Socket Workbench to be a socket client (like a web browser or e-mail client) or a socket server with ease. You can send data through a socket and analyse that data that has been received. Also, Socket Workbench has the unique "Pass Through Mode" which allows the interception of socket communications between a client and its server without packet sniffing. Features include:
- Allows the analysis of the E-mail, HTTP, Time Of Day, FTP and any other socket based communication protocol including real-time and client-server applications.
- Configure Socket Workbench to be a socket client or a socket server.
- Allows any number of clients to connect while in Server mode.
- Intercept and analyse socket communications using the Pass-Through mode.
- Includes a library of the well-known socket port numbers and servers.
- Author and send e-mails using the e-mail protocol template.
- Contains a library of HTTP requests from the popular Web Browsers and the HTTP Responses from Web Servers.
- Ideal for testing and monitoring real-time applications or two/three/n-tier client-server applications.
- All socket state transitions and Socket Workbench events can be logged.
- Data can be analysed using a raw, binary, octal, decimal or hexadecimal format.
- Incoming and outgoing data can be logged with an optional time stamp.
- Contains 7 pre-defined configurations to get under way as soon as possible.
- Incoming data can be filtered.
- Schedule data to be sent at regular intervals.
- Data can be split in to messages and messages can be split into fields.
- Allows the stress testing of socket client and servers.
- Data sent through the socket can be "linked" to a file. When the contents of the file changes, the data is automatically re-read and transmitted.

IPCOMServer is a cheap and easy solution to control RS-232 devices without the use of expensive router products like a Cisco® 2511 Terminal server. The IPCOMServer acts as a Telnet server, connecting the user directly to a chosen COM port. IPCOMServer can be connected to by either using a Telnet program or a custom written Telnet Client. A Telnet program will provide the user with a text interface to interrogate the attached RS-232 device. The reason why IPCOMServer was developed was to enable a user to control custom built electronic equipment, or to access remote control test equipment like, TTC Fireberd 4000® or Protocol Analyzers etc.
IPCOMServer acts as a virtual connection between a TCP/IP port or socket and a personal computers Serial/COM port. When a Telnet program or client connects to IPCOMServer, it will be connected directly to the serial port specified in the Setup of IPCOMServer. Strings of data or commands that are generated at the Client will be transported across the TCP/IP network to the Host. At the host the incoming commands are relayed to the serial port. The device attached to the host will react on the commands by sending replies back to the host, which are then relayed back the client. The replies can be used to display either text form or to update a graphical user interface (GUI). See the application notes for more information.

When TCP Spy's Start button is pressed, it will capture and display all socket calls of the next application that starts and makes a socket call. It will also capture and display the data that is sent and received on the application's sockets. The application can be of any type.
TCP Spy displays its output in a scrollable text box. This data may additionally be sent to a file as text or HTML. By default, only 32KB of data is kept in the scrollable text box. Higher data limits may be selected, including unlimited.
Based upon each socket's first transferred message, TCP Spy will determine if the protocol being communicated over the socket is text based. If so, TCP Spy will test each following message for text. If a message contains only text, TCP Spy will display it as such. Else, TCP Spy will show the message in hexadecimal and ASCII. If the protocol is HTTP, the HTTP headers will be displayed as text.
The unregistered version does not provide the option of sending data to a file, and only keeps 32KB of data in the scrollable text box. When you register TCP Spy, you will be sent a code that enables the additional features.
