ABCUpload .NET

ABCUpload .NET allows sophisticated control over the upload of files from a web browser to your ASP.NET pages on your IIS web server. It requires no client side software and operates via standard multipart HTML forms as defined in RFC 1867. ABCUpload .NET is based on our many years of experience with ABCUpload but it's written entirely in C#. It's 100% CLS compliant, 100% Managed and offers unsurpassed performance, control and stability. Our Pure HTML Progress Bar allows your visitors to see the progress of their upload in real time with absolutely no client side software. What's more - for ABCUpload .NET it's been updated for even better feedback and flexibility. We've completely re-written the core upload engine using our proprietary GigUpload? technology. ABCUpload was always fast and efficient but now it's even more so - if you want to do simultaneous Gigabyte uploads you can do them using ABCUpload .NET. The combination of our Pure HTML Progress Bar and GigUpload technology is pretty unbeatable. However we've added Corruption Autofix to ensure that corrupt uploads are decorrupted whenever they're encountered. ABCUpload integrates perfectly with ASP.NET. You can interoperate with standard .NET upload classes taking advantage of only the features within ABCUpload that you require. ABCUpload is 120% MacBinary compatible to allow perfect uploads from Macintosh as well as Windows and UNIX browsers. ABCUpload .NET is fully Unicode compliant to support languages like Japanese and Korean.

ABCUpload ASP

ABCUpload is an ActiveX component that allows you to upload files from a web browser to your IIS web server. It requires no client side software and operates on the server via HTTP and standard multipart HTML forms as defined in RFC 1867. ABCUpload contains a number of features that set it apart from the herd. Our Pure HTML Progress Bar keeps track of every upload and allows you to watch how much of your file has been uploaded with absolutely no client side components or Java. If you can upload; you can use our progress bar - it's Pure HTML. The Internet is international. You are as likely to get uploads from people in Japan as you are from people in the United States. Different countries use different character systems and your upload component has to be able to handle both Japanese and English characters. ABCUpload handles all this for you transparently via Unicode support. ABCUpload allows perfect uploads from Macintosh as well as Windows and Unix browsers. If you upload a Macintosh file to a server running Services for Macintosh (SFM) your Mac file will appear just like it left your client - icons, previews and file name completely intact. Our Form object is based on the Microsoft Form object for maximal compatibility with your existing code. Any code you write to access fields within a standard form will transfer directly to accessing fields within a file upload form. Obviously we've had to add some extra functionality to allow special file operations but this is added functionality and doesn't affect the basic operations in any way. We're BLOB aware for direct insertion of uploaded files into your database. All data can be saved to disk but is also available as Binary data for insertion into a database. Finally the design of ABCUpload uses state of the art tools and techniques. We code in Visual C++ under ATL for high speed, minimal dependencies and a small footprint. Free license available.

SlimFTPd

SlimFTPd is a fully standards-compliant FTP server implementation with an advanced virtual file system. It is extremely small, but don't let its file size deceive you: SlimFTPd packs a lot of bang for the kilobyte. It is written in pure Win32 C++ with no external dependencies and no messy installer. SlimFTPd is a fully multi-threaded application that runs as a system service on Windows 98/ME or Windows NT/2K/XP, and it comes with a tool to simplify its installation or uninstallation as a system service. Once the service is started, SlimFTPd runs quietly in the background. It reads its configuration from a config file in the same folder as the executable, and it outputs all activity to a log file in the same place. The virtual file system allows you to mount any local drive or path to any virtual path on the server. This allows you to have multiple local drives represented on the server's virtual file system or just different folders from the same drive. SlimFTPd allows you to set individual permissions for server paths. Open slimftpd.conf in your favorite text editor to set up SlimFTPd's configuration. The format of SlimFTPd's config file is similar to Apache Web Server's for those familiar with Apache. Supports passive mode transfers and allows resume of failed transfers. Small memory footprint; won't hog system resources. Easy configuration of server options through configuration file. All activity logged to file. Support for binding to a specific interface in multihomed environments. User definable timeouts. No installation routine; won't take over your system. Executable is tiny! Supports all standard FTP commands: ABOR, APPE, CDUP/XCUP, CWD/XCWD, DELE, HELP, LIST, MKD/XMKD, NOOP, PASS, PASV, PORT, PWD/XPWD, QUIT, REIN, RETR, RMD/XRMD, RNFR/RNTO, STAT, STOR, SYST, TYPE, USER. Supports these extended FTP commands: MDTM, NLST, REST, SIZE. Supports setting of file timestamps. Conforms to RFC 959 and RFC 1123 standards.
