DataFitX

DataFitX is a COM component (in-process ActiveX DLL) which allows you to add a powerful nonlinear regression (curve fitting) engine to your software with just a few simple lines of code. DataFitX is developed using COM, so it can be used in any environment that supports COM, including Microsoft Visual Basic, Microsoft Visual C++, Delphi and VBA (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access or any VBA enabled client). A DataCollection object provides methods and procedures for importing and gathering data, as well as providing statistical summaries for the data. The NonlinearRegression and MultipleNonlinearRegression objects provide methods and procedures for defining regression models with up to 100 fitting parameters and performing nonlinear regression on data containing up to 50 independent variables. The CubicSpline object performs cubic spline interpolation on 2-dimensional data. These objects provide properties and methods that return results for the fitting parameters, as well as detailed statistical summaries of the regression results. Arrays of predicted values and residuals are automatically generated, but you can also predict values on a point by point basis (Y at a value of X), or create arrays of predicted values based on data arrays you supply. These objects also include methods to perform derivative and multiple root calculations (X values at a specified value of Y). There are more than 600 pre-defined models, but you can easily define your own by passing a string representation of a model to one of the model creation methods. You can also create event-based regression models, which allows the client code to supply the function evaluations and optionally the derivative calculations through raised events. There are ten objects with 232 methods, procedures and events. You can process the regression results in the client code, or export regression results in DataFit native file format. A DataFitX developer license includes royalty free run-time distribution.

DTREG

DTREG is a powerful statistical analysis program that generates classification and regression decision trees that model data and can be used to predict values. DTREG is a robust application that is installed easily on any Windows system. DTREG reads Comma Separated Value (CSV) data files that are easily created from almost any data source. Once you create your data file, just feed it into DTREG, and let DTREG do all of the work of creating a decision tree and pruning it to the optimal size. Even complex analyses can be set up in minutes. DTREG can build Classification Trees where the target variable being predicted is categorical and Regression Trees where the target variable is continuous like income or sales volume. By simply checking a button, you can direct DTREG to build a classic single-tree model, a TreeBoost model consisting of a series of trees or a Decision Tree Forest model. DTREG uses V-fold cross-validation to determine the optimal tree size. This procedure avoids the problem of "overfitting" where the generated tree fits the training data well but does not provide accurate predictions of new data. DTREG uses a sophisticated technique involving "surrogate splitters" to handle cases with missing values. This allows cases with some available values and some missing values to be utilized to the maximum extent when building the model. It also enables DTREG to predict the values of cases that have missing values. DTREG can display the generated decision tree on the screen, write it to a .jpg or .png disk file or print it. When printed, DTREG uses a sophisticated technique for pagenating trees that cross multiple pages.

statistiXL

statistiXL is a powerful new data analysis package that runs as an add-in to Windows versions of Microsoft Excel. statistiXL has been entirely designed and written by scientists in order to meet the demanding needs of anyone requiring access to a robust, versatile statistical analysis package that is quick to learn and easy to use. With its wealth of features, Excel provides an ideal environment for data input, manipulation and calculation and by leveraging this familiar environment, statistiXL greatly extends this feature set to encompass high powered statistical analysis without the need to learn how to use an entirely new application from scratch. Data stored in existing spreadsheets can instantly be subjected to a wide range of statistical tests (many frequently not seen in other analysis packages). Tests provided by statistiXL include (but are not limited to), Analysis of Variance, Cluster Analysis, Contingency Tables, Correlation (Simple, Partial, Multiple and Canonical), Linear and Circular Descriptive Statistics, Classification and Grouping Discriminant Analysis, Factor Analysis, Goodness of Fit Tests such as Binomial, Circular, Normal and Poisson, Simple and Multiple Linear Regression, Nonparametric Tests such as Friedman, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney, Principal Component Analysis, Univariate and Multivariate t-Tests. statistiXL also produces a wide range of plots including Box and Whisker Plots, Scatter Plots, Clustering Dendrograms, Normal Probability Plots and many others. Numerous options exist for formatting the standard results that are outputted by statistiXL and because these results are placed into Excel spreadsheets, you can use the tools that you are already familiar with to arrange and format textual and graphical output even further, changing fonts, rearranging cells, altering the scale on the axis of a graph etc etc. You can even subject the results to further analysis using either statistiXL or any of Excels numerous built in functions.

AutoSignal

AutoSignal is the first and only program that completely automates the process of analyzing signals. It gives researchers the power to rapidly find components of complex signals that normally require extensive programming and mathematical routines. It takes full advantage of its graphical user intuitive interface to simplify every aspect of operation, from data import to output of results. AutoRegressive linear models offer robust models that can quickly handle smaller data sets that FFT cannot accurately analyse. With AutoSignal, you can also recover signal components based on power - the component may be sinusoidal, a square wave, a sawtooth or anharmonic pattern. It lets you see a complete picture of the frequency space using the library of six Fourier Spectrum methods with total flexibility. It gives you a choice of three adjustable mother wavelets: Morlet, Paul and Gaussian Derivative - in both real and complex forms to optimise localisation results. Scientists and engineers can perform complex signal analysis without programming by selecting menu items that determine how the computer will analyze and present data. Selecting a processing step or algorithm causes the software to provide further menus or windows so users can tailor performance to their needs. After the user makes a processing selection, the software immediately presents processing results in 2-D or 3-D views Built-in spectral analysis procedures include : FFT AutoRegressive Moving Average ARMA Complex exponential modeling Minimum variance methods Eigen analysis frequency estimation and Wavelets AutoSignal consists of many important leading edge signal analysis, filtration, prediction, and noise removal technologies.

LAB Fit Curve Fitting Software

The LAB Fit is a software for Windows developed for treatment and analysis of experimental data. At LABFit program you are able to: 1) Treat similar data (grouped and ungrouped dataset, one or two samples); 2) Treat non-similar data; 3) Determine propagated error (error propagation up to eight independent variables); 4) Plot 2D and 3D graph (normal, parametric, imported dataset, contour of maps); 5) Execute math calculations (system of linear equations, roots of function, non-linear equation, ordinary differential equation - ODE up to fifth order, system of differential equations - up to five first order ODE, calculator, etc); 6) Extract data (x;y) from a 2D graph (digitizing); 7) Curve Fit (almost 500 functions at the library, with 1 and 2 independent variables, functions finder, option that let you write the fit function, rejection of data, confidence and prediction bands). The LAB Fit has a menu for curve fitting and the main programs of this menu use nonlinear regression. The LABFit fits functions of one and several independent variables (from 1 up to 6), admitting uncertainties at the dependent variable (Y) and also at the independent variables (X). At the LAB Fit library there are more than 200 functions of one independent variable and almost 280 functions with two independent variables. The user disposes of a finder functions program. If necessary, there is an option so that the user can write its own fit function. Once determined the fit parameters, it's possible to extrapolate the fit function and, for the 2D and 3D cases, the graph of the obtained function is shown. For the 2D case, beyond the extrapolation possibility, the user can even include error bars and confidence bands to the graph. The LAB Fit has also a menu destined to the treatment of similar data, non-similar data and error propagation. Beyond that, there is a third menu with general tools like to plot a function informed by user.
