Fun software to help you memorize Scripture, using a testing tool and puzzles. Includes 800+ Bible verses in in King James (KJV), New King James Versions(NKJV), and New International Versions(NIV). New version 2 allows you to add your own verses, and print them.
Custom lists of verses can be created, or users can use predefined lists based on the Awana handbooks (Sparks through JV).
The Windows program uses two tools: a testing mechanism and puzzles. Multiple users (up to 50) each track their progress separately.
THE TESTING MECHANISM is like an electronic chalkboard with the entire verse displayed. Click on the test button and a few of the words are erased, leaving blank lines. Fill in the words (by typing either the whole word, or just a few characters--parameters defined by the user), and the test moves to level 2, where more words are erased. This progresses through 5 levels, until all the words have been erased and subsequently filled in. After going through this 5 times, the user is virtually assurred of having this verse solidly memorized and is ready to progress to the next verse in their custom list, or Awana handbook.
THE PUZZLE has two modes..."jigsaw" and "sliding". Both types of puzzles have a picture in the background (5 included, and the user can also import their own). Each puzzle piece is a word of the verse...after the puzzle has been scrambled, the user then races against the clock to put it back together.
Altogether, MemoryMan helps people of all ages enjoy memorizing scripture. Its easy to use and proven effective.
The non-registered version only gives access to a few of the Bible verses, the full, registered version ($12.50) unlocks all verses, and the nifty-neato sound effects.

boxod is actually a collection of 4 puzzle games, each constructed of ?boxes? stacked into cubes or pyramids. The game cubes or pyramids can contain from 2 to 8 Levels (rows and columns of boxes). The 6 faces of individual boxes can each show different colors and images. The games involve manipulating boxes and levels to match colors and images on each side of the overall cube or pyramid.
The 4 games are called Jigsaw Cube, Jumbled Cube, Jumbled Pyramid and Rebukes Cube. These games are easy for fairly young kids to learn, and yet provide enough challenge to interest people of all ages. A Control Panel contains simple and intuitive controls to manipulate game elements. Boxes can be ?opened? by right-clicking the mouse to possibly reveal a helpful hint.
Options can be set to configure the appearance and operation of boxod games. Customized sets of Colors and Images can be selected to display on the 6 sides of boxes. Two predefined Image Sets are included with the download, but you can also create sets with your own pictures. Images can span the entire faces of cubes and pyramids, or can be scaled to display small pictures within each box. A color or image pattern can be chosen for the background of the game playing area.
Aspire to be included in the High Scores Hall of Fame for each game type. Scores can be greatly increased by playing the games with higher Levels, and by playing efficiently to use as few moves as possible.
