The window that appear as Find Shortcuts starts is similar to the Find Files window that comes with Windows 98. Most of the elements (menus, buttons, etc.) should be familiar.
Shortcuts always have a "target" which will be invoked. Depending on the target, the shortcut may open a folder, run a program, open a document, play a music file, open a web page, and so forth. When "Test" is selected (from the Edit menu, clicking the Test button, or by pressing F7), Find Shortcuts checks the target of each shortcut to see if it is valid. Since shortcuts can have a variety of targets, testing can involve various actions, but in most cases Find Shortcuts simply checks to see if the target exists on your system.
During testing, a progress bar appears in the second portion of the status bar. If any shortcuts fail the test, that part of the status bar will indicate how many failed. Shortcuts that pass the test will display a green check mark beside the filename. Those that fail will have a red "X" and the entire line for that shortcut will be red a
If the Named box is left empty, Find Shortcuts will search for all shortcuts. Otherwise, only shortcut filenames matching the search string will be found. Wildcards (* and ?) can be used, but are often not necessary. For example, entering "ms" in the Named box will locate all shortcuts which contain "ms" (or "MS") anywhere in their filename. The Named box also includes a drop down list of previous search strings.
The Types box can limit the search to only certain types of shortcuts. This can be useful if you are searching through large numbers of shortcuts (e.g., the entire Start Menu).
Once you click Find Now (or press Enter) you will see search results (if any shortcuts matching the search criteria are found). Once you see files you can test the shortcuts.

Repetitive strain injury, Occupational overuse syndrome, and Carpal tunnel syndrome are all faces of the same malaise. In layman's terms, if you use something too much, you'll damage it.
For those on the coal face of the IT industry, it's endemic, and can mean losing a career when typing becomes too painful to sustain...
What can you do?
A good typing technique makes a huge difference. Touch typing is recommended, and you should use two hands to use a shift or control key combo. I switched to the Dvorak keyboard a while back, both to reduce finger movement, and force myself to touch type.
It is a big help to take frequent 'microbreaks' every 5-15 minutes from what you are doing, move around, stretch, and give blood a chance to flow around the place. You should move your arms away from the keyboard and mouse, focus your eyes to some distant point, and relax.
I wrote this program because I always get too involved in what I am working on to remember to take regular breaks (hours can pass before I remember that I should eat, or go to the toilet...). However, I found every reminder program I tried to be too frustrating and/or intrusive to use for long.
What does the program do?
Every 10 minutes (or whatever you set it to) the program will play a sound to remind you to have a stretch. I use a large archive of sound bites from movies and TV (www.tidalwavs.com is good) - the program picks one at random as the reminder each time to keep it interesting.
The important thing is that this is not intrusive, it does not slow me down, and it works. I resent those programs that measure how much you have moved your mouse, or used your keyboard. All that expends resources that my PC and I could better use elsewhere. SoundBreak just sleeps until it is needed.

General information
WeOnlyDo Software's wodHttpDLX is a HTTP client ActiveX control that provides easy, both high and low level access to the complete HTTP protocol. It's primary purpose is to retrieve documents and other resources from the WEB. It was designed to be as programmer-friendly as possible. You will find it can be fully automated to get you requested resource, but also can be used by advanced programmers under complete control from your code.
Usage model
Default behavior of wodHttpDLX is to do as much as possible to get resource you request - it will automatically connect, try to pass through proxy server (if set), try to authenticate with both proxy and the server, follow redirections,..., until it finally grabs requested resource, and then it will disconnect. If the problem occurs during this automation, you will receive notification about failure, so you can request the resource again using different information provided.
Or..
You can use wodHttpDLX to manually connect to the server, send request, check received response, parse received data by yourself - almost all aspect of HTTP protocol is covered by wodHttpDLX. You can have full control over it's behavior if needed - it's all up to you to decide which path you will go.

Since version 1.1.0.2, wodHtmlParser component is included in wodHttpDLX package free of charge. You can extract almost any data using this component. For example, you can easy get pictures from the page (using one line of code!!), find Google links, escape frames etc..
