AlarIT Virtual Serial Driver (AVSD)

AlarIT Virtual Serial Driver is appointed for emulation of one, two or more (up to 200) serial streams. Hardware devices are not necessary. This product is based on Windows XP DDK and doesn't require using devices of other manufacturers. The whole product is created with the help of Microsoft tooling. AlarIT Virtual Serial Driver realizes full emulation of Serial Port functions, connected with each other with the help of NULL-MODEM or full cable, including DTR, CTS, DSR, RTS. AlarIT Virtual Serial Driver can be interesting for software (for Windows Platforms) developers, who use external devices connected with computer by serial port. Also, it will be interesting for developers of the products appointed for connection of two or more computers through serial ports.

Virtual Serial Port Driver XP4

Virtual Serial Port Driver XP4 creates two pure virtual serial ports in your system which are virtually connected to each other. For other Windows applications, virtual ports will be seen exactly as two real serial ports connected via null-modem cable. You can select any port numbers for virtual pair. For example, you can create virtual pair COM5-COM6. In this case all data sent by other applications to COM5 will arrive at COM6, and all data sent to COM6 will arrive at COM5. This can be seen if you run two HyperTerminals (or any other Windows terminal programs) and connect one of them to COM5 and other one to COM6. Then, all you type in first terminal will appear at second one. Of course, you can transfer files, other data or do whatever you want as it was real serial ports. With Virtual Serial Port Driver XP 4.0 you can connect one application to another using virtual serial ports pair. Applications will be able to exchange data. This solution can be used, for example, for GPS simulation programs.

Virtual Serial Port Driver XP4.5

Virtual Serial Ports Driver XP creates two pure virtual serial ports in your system which are virtually connected to each other. For other Windows applications, virtual ports will be seen exactly as two real serial ports connected via null-modem cable. With virtual ports created by Virtual Serial Port Driver XP you can connect applications to each other and exchange data between them without occupying your real serial ports and using hardware wiring. Virtual link between virtual serial ports is much faster then real null-modem cable connection and depends on your processor speed. The latest version with new manual and examples now supports full baudrate emulation. With user-friendly GUI and on-the-fly help of Virtual Serial Port Driver XP it's very easy to configure a virtual serial ports pair.

VSPD.net

Network Virtual Serial Ports Driver is an advanced utility, the purpose of which is to emulate null-modem cable on computers located in a TCP/IP LAN or connected to the Internet. In other words, with VSPD Net you can create any number of pure virtual serial ports in your system, which will be connected over TCP/IP network to another computer via virtual null-modem cable. Real serial ports will not be occupied. Example: You have two computers, host1 and host2 for example, connected with TCP/IP networking. You can create virtual serial port COM5 on host1 and virtual serial port COM6 on host2 and connect those ports to each other via virtual null-modem cable. Everything, that application on host1 will send to COM5 will be received by application on host2 at COM6, and all that application on host2 sends to COM6 will be received by application on host1 at COM5.

If Windows NT/2000 or Windows XP machine fails to boot and you need important data very fast you can use to copy them over a serial or a parallel link cable. Additional you can run User Manager, CIA Unerase or CHKDSK on the remote drive or delete defect driver in the HOST-Systemdirectory. With the included User Manager you can see the detailed information about all users accounts, unlock locked users and alter their passwords. The HOST and CLIENT machines must be connected with a standard parallel link cable or null-modem serial cable. Easy administrative access any computer (FAT, FAT32 and NTFS) over the parallel or the serial cable connection. Run included User Manager, CHKDSK, CIA Unerase or any AntiVirus softvare on the remote drive, unlock users or change password of Windows NT/200/XP users, recover your data from the damaged NTFS drive.
