Point Cloud for AutoCAD is a plug-in for AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002 and 2004. This plug-in gives AutoCAD to ability to process point clouds. You can import a point cloud into AutoCAD as it is or fit a surface that passes through the points to recreate the original object. This is ideal for reverse engineering and GIS applications. There are different ways of fitting a surface depending on the nature of the point cloud.

STL Export for AutoCAD is a plug-in for AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002 and 2004. This plug-in gives AutoCAD the ability to export geometric data to ASCII as well as binary Stereolithography (STL) files.
AutoCAD already has a "STLOUT" command which exports STL files. But unfortunately it has some limitations. Firstly, it exports only 3D Solids and that too only one at a time. It does not export 3D Face, Polygon Mesh and Polyface Mesh entities which can very well be a part of a STL model. STL Export for AutoCAD addresses these issues. With STL Export for AutoCAD you can now export multiple 3D Solid, 3D Face, Polygon Mesh and Polyface Mesh entities to a single STL file.
STL Export for AutoCAD is very easy to use. It adds a new command to AutoCAD called "STLEX". Simply type "STLEX" at the AutoCAD command prompt and select the entities to export.

The Ohmikron 3D Model Editor was designed to improve the speed and efficiency
of 3-D graphics artists and to make it easier to import 3D models into new
software applications. Unlike conventional three-dimensional modeling packages,
the Ohmikron model editor gives you precise control over texture mapping at the
time each three-dimensional object is created. Instead of creating a model and
then applying a texture to it, you create the model by drawing it directly on
the texture. Textures are embedded in saved model files so there is no problem
with models getting separated from their textures. You can extract the textures
any time and save them to bitmap files, modify and reload them into your model.
Multiple geometric mesh objects can be created from a single texture and combined
into a three-dimensional model, with any seams quickly and accurately closed.
Solids of extrusion and revolution can be quickly created with texture map
coordinates automatically applied at the time of creation. Restricted vertex
editing allows modification of three-dimensional geometry in situations where

ImageDIG consists of three integrated modules which allow the user to convert 2D flat images into 3D (x,y,z) data or if a graph, convert the graph in image form into 2 dimensional numerical data. The third module is a full analysis plotting utility where the user can import either the 2D or 3D data saved above or import any number of columns of data from a file. The data can then be analyzed using several statistical functions and plotted.
ImageDIG was developed because other functionally similar programs (2D) either had a steep learning curve, incomplete or confusing to use. However, no other program includes an image to 3D numerical data converter and a general purpose x/y plotter.
A variety of data analysis options are available in this module. Example images for tutorial purposes are supplied. This includes real world images of an electron beam for the 3D digitizer. Computer generated plots (linear, log, fractional, etc), scanned images from articles for the 2D digitizer, and ascii data files for the universal plotter.
