4NT

If you are frustrated by the limitations of the standard Windows command prompt, then 4NT is the one command line tool you truly need. By adding thousands of features that Microsoft omitted, 4NT makes the command line easy to use, giving you more power and flexibility than you ever imagined. 4NT replaces CMD.EXE, the Windows command processor, the brains behind your command prompt. 4NT adds features such as extensive context-sensitive online help, aliases for commonly used commands, a powerful command line editor, history recall, filename completion (even across a network), popup command and directory history windows, and extended directory searches that can take you to any directory on your system by entering only part of its name. 4NT expands the Windows file handling commands, giving you the ability to copy, move, delete, or list multiple files with a single command, and adding FTP and HTTP support (including SSL) . You can select or exclude files from any command by their date, time, size, and extended wildcards for extraordinary flexibility. Batch file users will be amazed at the power and speed 4NT adds to Windows batch files, with an array of new batch commands and a powerful batch debugger with single stepping, breakpoints, syntax coloring, popup variable windows, and editing. The extended batch language in 4NT includes subroutines, DO statements, IF THEN ELSE statements, SWITCH statements, error handling, more than 120 internal commands and over 200 internal variables. And if you don't like the default behavior, 4NT allows you to adjust its configuration either through interactive dialogs or on the command line.

Rt-Plot

Rt-Plot is a tool to generate Cartesian X/Y-plots from scientific data. You can enter and calculate tabular data. View the changing graphs, including linear and non linear regression, interpolation, differentiation and integration, during entering. Rt-Plot enables you to create plots fast and easily. The line calculations give full access to calculation and display ranges and can use statistical weights. The options can be changed interactively. A powerful reporting module generates ready to publish documents. The result on the screen is the same as on the report printout (what you see is what you get). Although the program looks simple, the graph can be altered in any item you can imagine. All distances in axis, scaling, numberings, captions colors, line- and point styles and colors can be altered. Thus a plot can be generated fitting the requirements of any journal you want to publish in and of cause your personal taste. Features unlimited number of data points live calculated data points in data table unlimited number of graphs unlimited number of series in graph unlimited number of calculated lines linear regression polynomial non linear regression interpolation smoothing differential integral calculations can use statistical weights error indicators at data points function interpreter for calculating columns and non linear functions graph fully customizable secondary axis at top and right twisted, log, exponential axis scaling all distances colors styles can be varied report fully customizable built in word processor including graph and results

CodeClip

Imagine commenting your code or script just by...talking! Communicate with students, code maintainers, future programmers, and fellow scriptwriters in your own voice and language, using The Code Closet's revolutionary CodeClip. You can also attach Web links, pictures, diagrams, bug reports, non_English documents, and executable files at the very line in your script or code referencing them! The software is targeted at programmers, Web page authors, teachers, network administrators, and anyone who writes scripts that control computer application behaviors. It is extremely useful to teachers, authors of technical books and/or tutorials, code librarians, and anyone whose native language is not English. One of our beta-testers told us her son had discovered a totally non-technical and unexpected use - as a speech writer! For technical users, the source code or script file that they produce is written in plain (also called ASCII) text. It is usually written with some kind of plain text editor, often specially designed for that kind of programming or script - Web designers might use an HTML editor, for example, and a programmer might use the Visual Basic or Visual C++ development tools. The output files that are produced for these purposes must remain as plain text so that the compiler or interpreter that tells the computer what to do can understand (or 'parse') the contents of those input files easily. Because the scripts or source code are often difficult to read and understand by anyone other than the original author, most good programmers and script writers put comments and notes into their code. That makes it possible for someone else to add to or fix the original code, or even for the original author to remember what he or she was doing years later after they've long forgotten. This step, often overlooked by inexperienced coders and script writers, is critically important to professionals - the value of software is only as good as your ability to maintain it.
