It achieves this via including as many inbuilt features as possible, letting you work on constructing your game, rather than learning the complex techniques behind, it like other tools. Making Play Basic the gateway to learning programming for those budding game designers out there.
PlayBasic aims at compatibility first !, over exploiting the latest DirectX 9 hardware. This means that your system doesn't require a 3D video card to use Play Basic. And ensures the games that you create, will work on as many systems as possible. Allowing you to share your programs with the world. The preview / demo editions can not create executables however. Your still encouraged to share your source codes with other users on our forums.
The package comes with a comprehensive programming environment called PlayWrite, built in debugger as well hundreds of examples and Help files to get you started.
