These modules are independent and can be used together or separately from each other. They contain common methods for retrieving basic phone information like IMEI code, software and hardware versions, internal and public model names, battery and signal levels.
Messaging module gives an access to SMS section of the phone and provides wide range of methods to send, receive, retrieve messages, work with mono logos and ringtones.
