NetChat is a peer-to-peer local network instant messaging and communications system for Windows which does not require a server to be running for use. It allows you to chat in real-time with other users on a secure and private local network connection.

NetChat works completely on a local Ethernet network using the TCP/IP protocol. However, it does not need a connection to the Internet. If you do have an Internet connection, NetChat works on your local subnet, so it will not be accessible from the outside world.

Getting started with NetChat is very easy - just install the software on two or more computers on the same local network and you may begin chatting in real-time with other users.
* Network requirements
NetChat uses the TCP/IP protocol and works with fixed or dynamic IP addresses on an Ethernet network. Any Windows 98/ME/2000/XP PC with a network card and configured for a local network will be able to run this software. Each computer will be identified to others based on a custom user name from the IP address of each computer. Since no two computers can have identical IP addresses on a network (or subnet), each client is assured to be unique. NetChat can work with network PCs which have fixed (static) or dynamically assigned IP addresses.

The Gate-and-Way fax service allows you to use one or more faxmodems and one or more telephone lines to send and receive faxes.
Any enabled user on the LAN can send faxes simply printing his documents to a virtual Windows printer,
no more waiting in front of the fax machine.

TrafMeter is a Windows-based tool providing realtime traffic accounting and monitoring. You can use it to count useful traffic of your computer (it's free!) or use to build the traffic accounting system for all PCs in your office LAN. It makes easy to count custom IP packets and troubleshooting problems saving your efforts as a network administrator. In TrafMeter, you can set unlimited number of filters for captured traffic, defining network packets which are used for tracking/reporting. It supports a creation of rulesets for various monitoring purposes. The rulesets can be used for single hosts, subnets, as well as specific groups of hosts - i.e. all hosts in/not in your LAN, specific IP protocols (ICMP,TCP,UDP,OSPF,etc). In addition, TrafMeter allows TCP/UDP port filtering. It includes real-time presentation of traffic activity via graphical charts. Each filter is represented by a unique color, which allows the webmaster and/or administrator to easily 'see' the Internet connection usage of individual users. TrafMeter supports a tracking of network packets for the different filters, letting you analyze and comment on the monitored traffic (which may include MAC addresses from Ethernet headers and the ToS field from IP headers). TrafMeter allows to track visited websites by its name using HTTP Host Header Logging. You can use it to collect bandwidth usage data and measure the speed of your Internet or any other network connection.
