Many mnemonic systems have been developed to aid in remembering numbers (credit cards, phone numbers, PINs, passwords, etc). The most prominent of these assigns a unique consonant sound to each digit, 0-9. These sounds are then used to form words/phrases that are more easily remembered than the raw numbers they represent. For example the number 70395 translates into ?example? which, along with the translation rules, is far easier to remember than the number. The 2Know software automates the translation of numbers to words/phrases using large English, French, and German phonetic dictionaries. The user simply enters the number to be translated and a list of candidate words is produced. The user then selects a word. If additional digits need to be translated, additional candidate words are presented for selection. This process is continued until the numeric string is completely translated.

Access Forms and Reports Assistant

The Access Forms and Reports Assistant (AFRA) is a batch form and report property changing utility for Access developers. It will run with Access 2000, 2002, or 2003, and make changes to any of those three Access mdb files for which you have the appropriate Access version installed on your computer. If you work with several secured databases, AFRA can keep track of your security information so you just select the workgroup data with two mouse clicks. All writeable form and report properties for Access 2000, 2002, and 2003 are available except the HasModule property (that one could be a disaster, erasing all your form and report module code in an instant). AFRA detects the version of Access your mdb file was created in and displays only those properties suitable to your database. All properties that have standard entries (other than text, command bar names, or code) are available from a drop-down list. You may select Design View Only for the AllowDesignChanges property but AFRA enters the required value of True for this entry (since it is being changed in VBA and not on the form's property sheet). Once you execute, Access automation opens your database and makes the changes.

HSSVSS Home Security Video system

What is HSSVSS HSSVSS turns your web cam or cameras into a video and motion detecting surveillance system. HSSVSS is a handy video surveillance tool, weather to monitor the old fashioned way by watching the videos live, by recording videos, or by using the handy hot spot feature which detects motion. HSSVSS is ideal for any video surveillance task. It places two video images on the screen simultaneously allowing monitoring of two areas. If you have more than two areas you can cycle your cameras. JPEG Intruder Images HSSVSS monitors movement in the defined target zone and takes a picture of anything that moves in this zone. You can save the surveillance as AVI video but pictures of any suspicious activity are saved as JPEG images to reduce storage overheads. With HSSVSS you define a target area for each camera. If for any reason the target area changes, e.g. a person enters the area, then an image is taken and saved for latter observation. This means that you don't have to monitor the video by watching the screen all the time. HSSVSS is designed for use with USB cameras. Although you can only monitor two cameras at once you can actually have as many cameras as your hardware will support and switch between these. Useful and relatively cheap hardware additions such as a USB hub and USB Active extension cable will extend the physical distance between your camera's and computer. HSSVSS Works Indoors and Outdoors Since HSSVSS detects changes in a particular area of the surveillance it is perfect for monitoring out doors when security lights are automatically triggered. HSSVSS is automatically triggered when the security light is turned on. Movement in trees due to wind also doesn't confuse it. This is because you target your hot spots away from natural movement. E.g. a path or drive is perfect, HSSVSS works even better indoors, any movement in the target zone or switching on a light will activate the system.

Bar graphs can be printed for the entire week with sort and page options for each day. Print preview for all reports. An HTML preview for all schedules.

Program Sentry

Provides access control and usage management. When installed, it allows you to either create a list of blocked programs or a list of allowed programs. In the blocked programs mode, any program on the list is blocked. In the allowed program mode, any program NOT on the list is blocked. Which mode you choose to use depends on whether you have a few programs you want to block (in which case you would use the blocked program mode), or you have a few programs you want to allow people to use (in which case you would use the allowed program mode). In both modes, you can assign optional passwords to the programs on the list. In blocked program mode, if no password is assigned to a program, it cannot be individually unblocked. If a password is assigned to a blocked program, it can be unblocked using the password. In the allowed program mode, if no password is assigned to the program, it is never blocked. If a password is assigned to the program, it is blocked until someone enters the password for that program. passwords are useful if several people use the computer, and you want each to be allowed to use different programs. You can give each person the passwords to the programs they are allowed to use. An administrator password is required to add or remove programs from the lists or change their passwords. This provides the person who installs Program Sentry with the ability to completely control the use of a computer. All blocking can be temporarily turned off using supervisor level password. This password cannot be used to add programs to (or remove programs from) the program lists. This program is most useful in a business setting, where the supervisor needs the ability to control who can do what on each company computer. It can also be useful in a family setting, however, to give parents control of the computer to block children from using certain programs.
