eClean 2000 ver 3.0.3 (formerly E-Clean) is a text editor you can use in place of Notepad.
But eClean 2000 has one feature other text editors don't: it removes formatting marks from email messages leaving only legible text remaining. It automatically removes forwarding/reply marks ">" and unwanted line breaks in sentences and paragraphs.
In addition this special feature eClean 2000 also supports all the basic text-editing functions, such as Open, Save, Undo, Search/Replace, and Print.

eClean now operates as a system tray. This means that eClean's functionality is available automatically after your PC reboots. eClean's icon (an envelope) can be found in your system tray (lower right portion of the screen by the clock).
Using the right mouse button, click on eClean's system tray icon to show a menu of commands that are available from the tray menu.
Most notably, you can now clean the contents of the clipboard by simply copying some text into the clipboard and selecting "Clean Clipboard Contents..." from the tray menu.
This will clean the text found in the clipboard without requiring you to open eClean, paste the text and recopy the text back into the clipboard. This is a real time saver!!!.

EClean, an innovative anti-spam software created specifically for Webmasters and Website owners by a Web Hosting company and an Application Services firm, is a top of the line defense against E-mail address harvesting robots, spammers and UCEs and can be used by anyone with a POP E-mail box. EClean helps you to avoid being sent unsolicited E-mail messages by hiding your mailto: links through encoding, and as a pre-mail client authenticates and quarantines legitimate E-mail messages. Protect your address from being harvested by using a special encoded HTML mailto: link. When visitors click the link on your site to send you mail, their default E-mail client will open, the special encrypted link they clicked adds a unique code, specific only to your E-mail address, to the subject line of the message being sent. In the body of the message is displayed some short instructions? that they should not alter the subject line, but they can safely delete the text in the body and replace it with their own.
Then when you run EClean on your PC or workstation, it searches the messages on your E-mail server for the special codes added to the subject lines of legitimate business or personal transmissions from your Website. It also checks to see if the sender and / or sending Domain is an entry in your "trusted" section of the installed software. The software then pre-sorts your mail for you, separating the good from the bad, giving you an opportunity to view the messages that are suspected UCEs. Later, after you have been using EClean for a while, you can optionally turn on an additional feature "automatically" deleting the UCEs as well as setting the software to run on a schedule.
