QuadroX is a program that really requires you to think outside the box. It's an interesting game that's roughly similar to one you might have played as a very young child. The object is to fill a square with pieces of different shapes. Once you're able to create a perfect square, you move on to an increasingly difficult level. It's a geometry teacher's dream. The full version of QuadroX covers three episodes with 30 levels each. This shareware version includes levels from the first episode. QuadroX is laughably easy when you first start playing, but the later levels are no joke and can be extremely challenging. As a rule, each level has one solution, and pieces can not overlap. You'll have to contend with some very oddly shaped pieces, which you rotate using your mouse. Pieces are dragged and dropped into the middle square, and are snapped to fit when placed inside. Top performances are recorded to a High Scores list. This program requires DirectX 6 or later.

At the first glance, the idea of the game is the same as in Classic Tetris; to fill the horizontal lines of the game pits with the falling pieces. The more lines you fill, the higher score you'll achieve. The falling figures may consist of one, two or three little squares. Looks easy? But in this game there are two game pits and you must simultaneously manage two figures which move synchronously! You can rotate or move the figures to the right and to the left as long as they both can make this movement. And if step down of either of the figures is blocked, second one will fall. So for your game to be a success you should demonstrate planning skills, otherwise both game pits will be quickly filled with figures. After you have dropped the figures down you are still able to move them for the best filling of empty spaces as they fall. If at least one of new figures appearing at the top covers another figure that is already in pit, the game is over. It is more difficult than the Classic Tetris. Below the line displaying the number of the filled lines you see the points, which you receive for the current figures. Before a new pair of figures appears this number is added to your total score. The higher is the speed of the game, the larger is the number. The faster you think, the more points you receive. The game contains music, sound effects and photorealistic true color graphics.

Lightris is an addictive action game. Bricks of various forms fall from the top of playing area and your task is to destroy them. Just try to form a solid row of blocks across the playing area and the row will disappear. Falling bricks can be rotated, moved horizontally or dropped down. The game is over when the bricks stack up to the top of the playing area. This is the main idea. But Lightris is not an its simple realization, the game has a lot a features such as customizable playing area, various brick sets, magically appearing (or disappearing) blocks and much more. Examine32 is a fast and versatile text search utility. It can search both text and binary files using either ordinary text or GREP-like regular expressions, based on the standard UNIX search utility. The logical operators OR, AND, NOT and XOR can be used with a specified search proximity. Files within ZIP archives can also be searched for text.

Tetris is an exciting action game. Throughout the game, Tetris pieces fall from the top to the bottom of the playing area. When the Tetris pieces form a solid row of blocks across the playing area, that row vanishes. Because this is the only way to remove blocks, you should try to form solid rows whenever possible.
