AimAtFile Fast File Search

AimAtFile helps you find files by their content. It provides content search (full-text search) functionality based on Microsoft Indexing Service included in Windows 2000/XP/2003. There are many third party file search utilities but they scan all files each time you try to find a file. With AimAtFile, Indexing Service scans files in the background as a low-priority process. AimAtFile requests this index and returns search results. You receive a list of files matching your query immediately. You can search for files of many types: Microsoft Office Documents, HTML, PDF, Plain Text, etc. When searching files, Windows Explorer also uses Indexing Service, but not so efficiently. These disadvantages often give the impression that Indexing Service does not help Windows Explorer to find files. As a result users often switch Indexing Service off. In contrast we suggest you switch Indexing Service on and use our program. You will be surprised how quickly you will find the files you are looking for. The program is easy to use. The interface is very intuitive. Run the program, type a query in the Query box, click Search and you will get a list of relevant files. The query may be simple (just words that target files contain), it can be a Boolean expression, or you can create more precise queries using the Indexing Service query language.

Atomic Newsgroup Explorer

Atomic Newsgroup Explorer (ANE) is developed to extract e-mail addresses and user names from the newsgroups (usenets). It perfoms fast and effective. Just enter any NNTP server address or choose it from the default list and the program will download the names of all available usenet groups. Then select some interested groups to explore and ANE will gather all the addresses and names from these groups. The extractor requires very few machine sources while running and can run quietly in the background on any computer running Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP) with a functioning connection to the Internet with open NNTP port. Actually, it takes a half an hour to get the new targeted list of e-mail addresses using ANE! The list can be saved to a file, Windows Clipboard or MS Word or MS Excel application. Atomic Newsgroup Extractor does not depend upon any additional software the way many email grabbers depend on third-party libraries. The most important feature of ANE is an availability to work with private newsgroups locked by password and servers that do not show all available groups. You may enter the know usenet group manually and process it too. Another unique feature is a multi-threaded operating, it speeds up the entire process in many times! Atomic Newsgroup Explorer has a user-friendly interface. It is very easy to start working with the program. Once the program started, you have to enter a newsgroup server address and press "Search" button to load a list of available groups. After that you mark the interested ones and press "Start" to begin extraction. It will begin exploring immediately and first contact addresses will appear in a few seconds.

Roulette

Welcome to Video Roulette, all the fun of the casino - without the cost! Place your bets, Red, Black, Numbers, Odd, Even - The choice is endless! The Street Bet: Players are wagering that one of three numbers will come up. Bets can be made at several different places: at the end of the line and three bets involving 0 and 00. A winning bet pays 11:1. The Corner Bet: Players are betting that one of four numbers will come up. Bets are placed at the intersection of the four numbers. The payoff is 8:1. The Five-Number Bet: There is only one five-number bet on the layout: 0, 00, 1 2, and 3. The payoff is 6:1. It is the worst bet on the table, with a house edge 50 percent higher than any other bet. This bet does not exist on the European game since there is no "00". The Line Bet: The player is betting that one of six numbers will come up. Bets are placed on the intersection of the two lines of three numbers. The payoff is 5:1. The three outside bets are outside of the 00,0 and 1-36 playing area. Even money: there are three types of even-money bets and they pay 1:1. You can place a bet on high (19-36)or low(1-18) numbers, bet on red or black, or bet on odd or even. Column: a column bet is wagered on 12 numbers contained in any one of the three long columns of numbers, with a payoff of 2:1 Dozen bets: Like the column bet, the roulette table is divided into three sets of 12, the first(1-12), the second(13-24), and third(25-36). These bets also pay at a ratio of 2:1. The procedures at the European table are slightly different than the American game. While American dealers sweep the layout with their hands and arms, European croupiers use a long stick known as the rake to sweep in all bets. In Europe, roulette games do not use the non-value chips. All players use the standard casino chips, which can cause great confusion when there are a multitude of bets on the layout. If This game is purely for fun, no real money can be either lost or won!

Fping

Ping is one of the most useful network debugging tools available. The first ping program was written by Mike Muuss in December 1983 for use on Unix machines. Muuss named his program after the sonar sounds used for echolocation by submarines, although some say ping stands for "Packet InterNet Grouper". Ping sends a small packet of information containing an ICMP ECHO_REQUEST to a specified computer, which then sends an ECHO_REPLY packet in return. The ping program then evaluates this reply, and a report is shown. You can check several things with the ping program: can you reach another computer, how long does it take to bounce a packet off of another site (what is the distance), ... You can ping either a domain name, or an IP address. Functionality to show domain names when using IP addresses is supported. Even routing options are available, alas only 9 routes can be shown due to the structure of the IP header (RFC 792). Why did I write my own ping program? There are two main reasons: a) It wanted to know how the ping program worked. I found it really intriguing and was very curious and b) There was a need for a better ping program here at the lab where I work.
