PIX Import for AutoCAD is a plug-in for AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002 and 2004. This plug-in gives AutoCAD the ability to import geometric data from PIX files. PIX files are the native file format of a digitizer software called Dr. Picza which comes bundled with Roland DG digitizers. PIX Import for AutoCAD gives AutoCAD the ability to import data from PIX files. You can import the data as points, lines, polylines, splines, faces, polyface mesh or polygon mesh. PIX Import for AutoCAD is very easy to use. It adds a new command to AutoCAD called "PIXIN". Simply type "PIXIN" at the AutoCAD command prompt and select a PIX file to import.

PIX Import for Rhino is a plug-in for Rhino. This plug-in gives Rhino the ability to import graphical data from PIX files. PIX Import for Rhino is very easy to use as it adds a new file type to the Rhino File Open dialog box. To import a XYZ file select Open from the File menu. Select "Dr. Picza Files (*.pix)" from the "File of type" combo box and select a PIX file to import. A new drawing will be created containing the imported PIX file.

Point Cloud

Point Cloud is a reverse engineering software to process point clouds. Point Cloud can reconstruct a triangular mesh over a cloud of points or drape a surface over the points. A point cloud can be created by scanning the surface of an object (surface scan) or by scanning the entire solid (solid scan). Point Cloud understands this difference and processes points differently in each case. Point Cloud also has the ability to compensate for probe diameter. There is an inherent error with probe based scanners since they digitize points at the center of the probe. Point Cloud takes care of this very efficiently.

Precision Image Digitizer

Precision Image Digitizer - Trace & record the coordinates of your selected points in a JPG, GIF, or BMP. Point and click on the points in the image that you would like to record. The coordinates are displayed on the screen as you click them and they can then be exported to an ASCII text file, exported to an AutoCad DXF file, or printed. These files can then be imported into any other program capable of reading in text files or DXF files. You can also use the Windows clipboard to copy and paste images into and out of the program. ImageDIG

ImageDIG consists of three integrated modules which allow the user to convert 2D flat images into 3D (x,y,z) data or if a graph, convert the graph in image form into 2 dimensional numerical data. The third module is a full analysis plotting utility where the user can import either the 2D or 3D data saved above or import any number of columns of data from a file. The data can then be analyzed using several statistical functions and plotted. ImageDIG was developed because other functionally similar programs (2D) either had a steep learning curve, incomplete or confusing to use. However, no other program includes an image to 3D numerical data converter and a general purpose x/y plotter. A variety of data analysis options are available in this module. xyExtract Graph Digitizer

The "xyExtract" software is used for to extract data from a 2D graph (orthogonal and nonorthogonal axes) contained in a graphic file (scanned, PDF document or in a some file like gif, jpg, etc). The graphic file must be saved in a bitmap file. Then, the "xyExtract" converts the graph back to xy data file (up to 1500 points). If you want, use the ?Save Project? option on the ?File? menu, for a posterior opening of the work. After each click, use the ?Adjustment? option to move the marked point (pixel to pixel), if necessary.
