Portfolio Optimization

The Portfolio Optimization model calculates the optimal capital weightings for a basket of financial investments that gives the highest return for the least risk. The unique design of the model enables it to be applied to either financial instrument or business portfolios. The ability to apply optimization analysis to a portfolio of businesses represents an excellent framework for driving capital allocation, investment, and divestment decisions. The key features of the Portfolio Optimization model include: Ease and flexibility of input, with embedded help prompts; Ability to specify the number of units held in each product or business; Specify minimum and maximum constraints for the optimised portfolio; Unique 'Maintain Current Return Level' option to ensure that return is not deteriorated at the expense of risk; and Intuitive graphical result display with Monte Carlo simulation, including probability analysis on specified 'Target' return level.

Shift Scheduler Continuous Excel

The Shift Scheduler will build a roster structure to your specifications, allocate staff automatically, and generate a printable roster, all at the click of a button. It is compact and user friendly allowing you to add staff and shifts (maximum 150) with ease. Default values for continuous shifts mean that the only shift data required is the start date/time and length for the first shift, everything else is automated. For non-continuous or varying shifts you have the capacity to overwrite default data and structure shift settings to suit your specific requirements. Constraints you can apply when allocating staff include the maximum hours a staff member can work within the roster period, the maximum continuous work hours, the minimum break between shifts, and the maximum number of days in a row that can be worked. You can also set a Yes or No work status to define a must work or must not work requirement. Your roster is printed using standard Excel commands or using the Format Print function to build a compact and easy to read roster schedule table. The Next Roster function allows you to roll roster details into the next roster period to quickly build consecutive rosters.

Detagger

Detagger is a Windows program that can either convert HTML files into good-looking text, or selectively remove HTML markup. As a markup remover, you can tidy up your HTML in a number of ways. Simply select the classes of tags to be removed, sections of code to be stripped out, or tag manipulations to be performed. Options include - remove all FONT tags; remove tags added by MS Office applications; strip out FORM, HEAD, OBJECT, STYLE or SCRIPT sections; convert tags to upper or lower case; and replace hyperlinks by their display values. As a HTML-to-Text converter, Detagger allows you to convert HTML newsletters into a more compact and email-friendly format. The program will output the document as text, preserving the marked up headings, lists, tables of the original and turning them into suitable text formats. Text is laid out as faithfully as possible to the original, within the constraints of your chosen page width. Detagger can process tables, laying them out as formatted text, or optionally turning them into comma-delimited data (CSV format). Hyperlinks are replaced by the display text, with the URL either displayed in the text or as an entry in a reference table added at the end of the document. Formatting options include dictating the page width of the output, or adding custom headers and footers to the output text. Selected options are saved in so-called policy files which may be reloaded in later sessions. The utility supports wildcards and drag and drop operation, making it well suited to whatever mode of operation you prefer. After conversion, results can be viewed in a browser or text editor (depending on the type of conversion). A console version in available for batch or automated conversions, and is included with the Windows version for users who register. An API version is available for developers under separate license for those wishing to add Detagger"s functionality to their own software.

Component Conversion Utility

The CCU is designed to minimize the time needed to create skeleton code in a variety of languages. It allows users to define objects in a friendly GUI or to import code from a text/binary file or a database. Once components have been created or imported, the CCU can output many flavors of source code. The app is perfect for n-tier development in which coders are generally forced to redefine objects in several languages (SQL, HTML/JavaScript, Java, etc.). Beyond just creating table definitions, forms and accessor/mutator methods (respectively), the CCU propagates validation code across several languages. Use the CCU to define basic constraints (String length, number range/precision, regular expressions, etc.) and the appropriate check constraints, JavaScript validation and exception handling code (respectively) will be created. The CCU is also useful for creating backwards compatible or cross-platform versions of code. A handy SQL script, for instance, might have different syntax for various databases. Instead of managing multiple scripts, updates can be made in one place and multiple versions of the code will be output automatically. Of course, it is impossible to do perfect translation of certain algorithms or concepts. It's much easier to debug CCU output than to rewrite something from scratch, though. The app will remember which of its guesses you wish to override. This means that when you make a slight update to your code, you won't need to re-address any of your previous output customizations. And when new languages are released, you can be reasonably sure that new versions of the CCU will allow you to extrapolate from your legacy code. If you're developing an app server or a proprietary language, contact JShift (sales@jshift.com) for licensing information. It's much easier to sell a product if prospective customers have a way to port their existing code. JShift developers can create plug-ins for new languages in as little as a few months.

CompileX .NET

.NET Database Driven Application Generator, automatically generates multi-tier enterprise-level business applications. Everything is generated, database structure, logic layer, web forms, all SQL queries, and XML, VB and C# code. Simply define application objects in an intuitive visual design space, designate links from a clickable menu selection and choose GUI design and generate a working ready-to-deploy application. By default CompileX .NET generates 3 types of applications: 1. Multi-tier - Distributed Windows applications. Consists of 3 layers. 2. Web - Active Web Applications. Consists of 3 layers. 3. Simple client/server - It may be a simple desktop application working with local database as well as a real multi-user client/server application. Generated layers: 1. Database layer CompileX .Net automatically creates clear normalized relational database structure optimized to work with objects. It generates all required indexes and constraints and optimizes SQL queries to work with complex objects, to perform fast paging (for Web presentations) and more. 2. Logic Layer Generated multi-tier and Web applications work with data through generated Web Services. This allows the developer to concentrate most data processing logic in one separate layer. Generated Web Services already realize all logic needed to work with data and concentrate logic into separate classes. If, for example, you need to extend order-processing requests - simply change the method of generated Web Service. 3. Presentation Layer CompileX .Net automatically creates all Windows forms, all Web pages and all codes required to work with simple and complex objects with all child objects (or linked objects and lists of objects). Forms are sharp designs. Select desired design from library. CompileX.NET uses open code and GUI templates and allows customization of generated application. Adapt the look and feel to your corporate standards and generate your kind of application.
