It runs from a DOS command prompt, which allows it to be easily called from other applications. Other customers use NetMailBot to launch profitable email marketing campaigns using their in-house databases of email addresses. NetMailBot features include: mail merge with any ODBC compliant database, import email addresses from a database (Excel, Access, SQL Server, etc.), send multiple attachments, send HTML formatted email with embedded images, and verify email addresses. NetMailBot has been performance tested internally and by our clients to send out an average of 10,000 emails per hour. Using NetMailBot successfully requires that you have a working knowledge of creating batch files and executing commands from a DOS prompt. Snapper

Snapper reads the directory of a disk which is then saved as a "snapshot", so that later you can compare it with a new snapshot of the disk and see what has changed. The results are easy to see with colour-coded highlighting in a familiar Explorer-style interface. Snapshots don't have to be created from the same source - you can compare a CD-ROM with a server volume, a Zip disk with your hard-disk, or compare two different diskettes (without the need for two diskette drives). You don't need to snapshot a whole disk either, you just choose a sub-folder and decide whether or not you want sub-folders too. And two snapshots don't need to be created from the same starting directory, just tell Snapper where the "root" of the comparison should begin. When you have two snapshots open, Snapper will have compared the time, date, size, and attributes of every file in every folder, checked for missing files too, and will highlight every folder where it finds a difference. It is easy to navigate through the colour-coded directories and find out what changed, where, and when. As you click folder names in one snapshot, the other snapshot changes to show you the same folder; and when you scroll down the list of filenames, the other snapshot's file list scrolls too. The results from any comparison can then be sent to a printer or exported to a file, with the flexibility to add your own custom fields to produce instant batch files or scripts. You can tell Snapper to ignore certain file properties when comparing snapshots, such as the Archive flag, or time differences of less than one hour (for example). And to simplify things further, Snapper can show you just those files that are new, or have changed, or are common to both snapshots. Snapper creates compares snapshots extremely fast, and can handle drives/volumes with many tens of thousands of directory entries. Trial Version allows 15 snapshots of unrestricted size to be created, then becomes limited to 1024 until registered.

You can set alarms for every Tuesday, every other week, Friday the 13th, the second Thursday of every third month, etc. Events can be ignored if they occur a specific number of minutes, hours, or days in the past. You can create templates for creating new alarms. For example, have a "Meeting" template, a "Grocery store on the way home" template, and an "Important Birthday" template. This greatly simplifies entering values for the types of alarms that you create often. Alarm++ has a well-designed and easy-to-use interface. It stays unobtrusively in your system tray or can be minimized on your taskbar. The autosave feature means that you never have to worry about losing your alarms to a Windows system crash. Alarm++ is powerful, flexible, easy to use, and simple to install (and to uninstall if you decide to).

SHA1files

SHA1files is a 32 bits console application that computes the SHA1 digest of files under Windows. The main applications are     - the detection of any change in files (typically a web server directory to make sure no file has been altered - integrity check)     - the detection of duplicate files on disk (based on their actual content, not their name or location) SHA1files {/root= [/duplicates] [/ExcludeList=] | [/verify=]} /root= the directory where to begin /ExcludeList= exclude the files matching the lines contained in this text file (wildcards allowed) /verify= compare the files currently on disk against this text file containing the captured output of a previous run of SHA1files /duplicates show the duplicate files only All parameters ARE case sensitive. The lines in the ExcludeList must match the FULL path ("*/SHA1files.htm"). The distribution file SHA1files.zip contains batch files with examples how to use the program. SHA1files /root=c:\test SHA1files /root=c:\test /duplicates SHA1files /root=c:\test /ExcludeList=SHA1ExcludeList.txt SHA1files /root=c:\test > test.txt SHA1files /verify=test.txt SHA1files returns an errorlevel 0 if everything went OK, and a positive value otherwise, in order to allow specific actions in batch files depending on the results. SHA1files is freeware.
