ShellRun is a program that will display a web page when your CD or DVD is inserted into a Windows computer. ShellRun can alternatively display a PDF file, Word document, MP3 file or any other document. AutoRun works in Windows only.
ShellRun displays a small pop up window and then attempts to run the appropriate viewer program to show your file. For example, for a web page, ShellRun asks Windows to start the default browser to display the web page.
Put the ShellRun.exe runtime on your CD along with a suitable AUTORUN.INF file. Remember to print manual instructions on your CD for users who have AutoRun disabled, or for those who have other sorts of computer.
ShellRun can also be run from a command line prompt or using Start+Run to display a file or URL.
The development kit has an install/uninstall facility. The development kit also contains an article describing how to put a web site on CD, i.e. produce HTML CDs.
The retail version lets you customize or remove the ShellRun pop up window, and determines what to do if a suitable viewer program is not available.

A very sleek, animated Windows Autorun/ Autoplay menu for CDs. This program smoothly slides from bitmap to bitmap (of your choice) offering the user a new option with each graphic. The images can be of any size or dimension. The slide speed is fully settable to create slow or fast slides. You can even have as many or as few sections as you like. Creating the startup file couldn't be easier using the inbuilt editor: just start the program; fill in the image file, caption and associated command line; click create INI and write your AutoPage menu to CD. The command lines can open an Internet Site in the User?s Browser; open a directory in Windows Explorer; open a sub-menu; launch a program; open a document or file (or anything else that you could imagine placing on a CD) in the User?s designated viewer! AUTOption Graphic is a customizable Autorun/Autoplay menuing application that gives a highly professional touch to your CDs. With a fully graphical interface, you control the appearance of your menu! You can specify a background image (which the program will size itself to) as well as different images for button up, down and mouse over events. If you do not wish to supply these images you can simply select one of three interface styles and AUTOption Graphic will create your graphics for you. This program comes with an easy to use step by step wizard for the setting up of the interface or you can make use of the menu editor where changes are previewed immediately. The menu can optionally be further enhanced by the inclusion of digital sounds (.wav) for button clicks, menu start, menu exit and even includes some automatic button animations which can be run on CD Startup!
