Professional security and encoding solution for private and business use based on X.509 certificates. With the MS File Explorer PlugIn you can easy sign or encrypt files and folders in according to the PKCS standard of RSA or send so-called secure message envelopes (SME = signing and encrypting in one step) via email. You can administrate all X.509 certificates in the integrated certificate manager under binding to the Windows certificate data base, whereby the use of external token (smartcard and USB token) is possible without any problem. During the verifying (to check the signature) the public keys are stored automatically. The program support also the connect to LDAP sever, the selecting of encoding and signing algorithm, extern token (smartcard and USB-Token), backup certificates, revocation lists (CRL), encoding for several users (multicrypting) and the generating of self-signed certificates.
On the encrypted, virtual drive you can store all your important data or even install programs. After mounting the virtual drive is shown in the MS File Explorer. During every file operation the encoding and decoding works in the background and nearly without time delay, whereby the data are stored always coded with the Blowfish algorithm (key length 448 bits). axsStrongBox is a COM component which provides strong, secure data encryption (public and private key). It can be easily integrated into Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi and VBScript applications.
StrongBox uses industry standard, public domain algorithms - choose between Rijndael (AES), Twofish, Blowfish, DES and Triple DES (private key) or RSA (public key). ECB and CBC modes are available, with various standard padding options, for compatibility with other systems.
Encrypting a file or a block of memory takes just a single method call. File encryption provides a convenient way of securing sensitive data files, including password files or any other private data. Memory buffer encryption is useful for network/Internet data transfers, or for encrypting specific sections of a composite file.
The RSA Signature algorithm can be used to sign data, and hash values can be calculated using MD5, SHA1 or SHA2 (up to 512 bits).
Built in GZIP functionality can be used to compress the data before encryption, and the compressed stream can optionally be base64 encoded.
It is possible to set the strength of encryption anywhere between 8 and 448 bits, so that your application can abide by any local leglislation regulating the supply or export of strong encryption systems.
