AudioAlchemy WMA Edition is a fast, easy-to-use, highly configurable, and affordable audio conversion tool that provides settings for speed, quality, bitrate, frequency, channels, and much more. Convert from WAV, MP3, WMA, OGG, AIFF, AU, VOX, RAW, PCM, GSM, ADPCM, g726, g721, g723, MPC, MP+, and DSS to WMA in a snap. It can also convert existing WMA files to a different bitrate, frequency, and/or channel setting; for example, converting a 192 kbps WMA to 128 kbps for use in a hardware device that requires a specific setting or does not support the higher bitrates.
It provides frequency settings ranging from 8 Hz to 48 Hz, and bitrates ranging from 5 kbps to 192 kbps. This extensive bitrate range allows for maximum control of the conversion output. When disk space is an issue, such as for portable WMA players, select a lower bitrate to conserve space. Otherwise, when audio quality is a must, select one of the higher settings. Furthermore, Constant Bitrate (CBR) options are available for the best compatibility with both hardware and software WMA players, and Variable Bitrate (VBR) is also provided for further optimized file sizes.
All conversions are performed directly from the source format to the output format, which increases overall conversion speed and eliminates a possibility for potential quality loss. Additional options include the ability to automatically transfer audio tags from the source format to the conversion output files, alternate MP3 decoding engine support, complete drag and drop support, recursive add path capabilities, and much more.
Added to all the technical capabilities, one of the major advantages of using it is ease of use. CryptoStorage creates on your Pocket PC virtual volumes (folders in the root directory). All information that is being written on or read from these volumes is transparently encrypted/decrypted on the fly. For any application the work with files being contained in these volumes does not in any way differs from the work with files that are placed in local folders (for example, \My Documents). When the volume is switched off, it is represented as file the content of which is encrypted. For access to the information contained therein it is necessary to know the password. If the password is unknown (or lost) there is no any possibility to get access to the encrypted information. Xceed Encryption Library is an ActiveX component that allows Windows applications to encrypt and decrypt data using the latest industry standard strong encryption algorithms. It supports traditional secret-key encryption as well as public-key encryption, and can encrypt/decrypt memory buffers, strings, blobs, streaming data or files.
For traditional strong encryption, the library supports the newly adopted AES (US Advanced Encryption Standard) secret-key encryption algorithm (Rijndael), which uses 128, 192 or 256-bit keys. It also supports the Twofish encryption algorithm, a runner-up for AES. For public-key encryption, it offers the RSA algorithm unlimited key bit-sizes. It includes a test vector sample application with the test vectors required to demonstrate correct implementation of the encryption algorithms offered.
The library uses the modern SHA-2 and HAVAL hashing algorithms so that passphrases can be converted to exactly the amount of bits required for an encryption key and with better mathematical properties than older hashing algorithms such as MD5.
Like all Xceed components, this library is designed to be flexible yet extremely easy to use. In fact, it only takes one line of code to encrypt or decrypt memory or files. A single line of code can even be used to chain together multiple Xceed components like the Xceed Streaming Compression Library and the Xceed Binary Encoding Library, so you can compress, encrypt and encode data into text just as easily.
